Child Safety Standards

1. Commitment to Child Safety
iToldYa! is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and educational environment for users of all ages. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual abuse, exploitation, or endangerment. Our platform is actively monitored to prevent, detect, and report harmful content in full compliance with applicable laws and platform regulations.

 

2. Prohibited Content
The following are strictly prohibited on iToldYa!, and any violations will result in immediate removal and reporting:

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), including explicit or suggestive content involving minors

Sexual exploitation, grooming, or solicitation of minors

Depictions or encouragement of sexual abuse or assault involving minors

Predatory behaviour or attempts to contact minors for inappropriate purposes

Use of AI-generated, manipulated, or simulated content to exploit or depict minors sexually

 

3. User Feedback & Reporting Mechanism
iToldYa! provides an in-app reporting system that allows users to:

Report content they believe violates our child safety standards

Flag users exhibiting inappropriate or predatory behaviour

Provide feedback regarding concerns or suspected abuse

Reports are reviewed promptly by our moderation team, and necessary actions are taken, including:

Content removal

User account suspension or banning

Notification to law enforcement and appropriate organizations, when applicable

 

4. Content Moderation & Review
All content on iToldYa! is subject to review using a combination of:

Community flagging tools

Human moderation (for contextual review and nuanced cases)

5. Compliance with Laws & Regulatory Standards
iToldYa! complies with all applicable child safety laws, including:

Canada’s Protecting Children from Internet Predators Act

The United States’ Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Other global regulations that aim to protect minors from online exploitation

We cooperate fully with law enforcement and relevant agencies when cases arise.

7. Youth Participation & Safeguards
iToldYa! is designed to help youth develop critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills. To safeguard our younger users:

We do not allow direct messaging between minors and adults without consent or approval

​

Our in-app contact system is monitored weekly, for issues related to child safety, and user behaviour

​

Our community monitoring removes content from the platform until it's reviewed by a human for compliance and safety

 

8. Enforcement and Termination
Any account found violating our child safety policies will be subject to:

Immediate content removal

Permanent ban from the platform

Referral to relevant authorities, including reporting to NCMEC (in the U.S.) or Cybertip.ca (in Canada)
